Campaign design “Zwei mit Profil”

Poster and spatial campaign design for the Aarau municipal elections

Design and development of the visual campaign identity for the Stadtrat and Einwohnerrat campaign of Susanne Heuberger and Thomas Richner (SVP Aarau).

The project included the creation of a clear and recognisable typographic system that could function across multiple physical formats in public space. The design was conceived to maintain legibility and visual impact at different scales — from printed flyers to large-format outdoor banners and public transport placements.

The visual language combines high contrast typography, minimal colour coding and symbolic graphic elements, allowing the campaign to remain identifiable even in fragmented or partially visible situations within the urban environment.

Applications included:

  • Campaign posters
  • Public transport placements
  • Large-format outdoor banners
  • Printed campaign materials
  • Street-level flyer distribution

The project explored how graphic communication behaves in the lived environment: how colour, typography and form continue to function when exposed to weather, movement and everyday public interaction.

This work sits at the intersection of print design, political communication and spatial perception — demonstrating how visual systems operate not only as static layouts but as elements within the dynamics of the city.
