Academic Gateway — Corporate Identity & Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) and Wayfinding (Signaletik und Orientierungssystem)
Development and implementation of a comprehensive visual communication system for Academic Gateway, an educational institution in Zurich, commissioned by ADMC Zurich.
The project extended beyond traditional branding to create a coherent experience across print, digital and physical environments. The visual identity was translated into stationery, interior and exterior signage, orientation systems, digital applications and architectural interventions, ensuring a consistent presence throughout the institution.
A key component of the project was the concept, information design and architectural integration of a large-scale illuminated periodic table. Developed as both an educational tool and a spatial landmark, the installation transformed an existing architectural element into a central point of orientation within the building while reinforcing the institution’s scientific focus and educational mission.
The project also included the design of a comprehensive wayfinding and orientation system comprising room identification, directional signage, campus navigation graphics, location maps, entrance directories and roadside signage. Digital adaptations for screens and multimedia applications ensured a consistent user experience across physical and virtual touchpoints.
